Macho Libre has stormed into the IPA craft beer ring, taking on all challengers and subduing them with a tag-team of hops and skillful balance that keeps drinkability as the undefeated champion.\r\nBut Hop Valley\u2019s luchador has a softer side as well and has concocted some signature move cupcakes. In its corner you\u2019ll find crispy bacon, maple syrup frosting and enough depth of flavor to put your taste buds in a full nelson of sweet deliciousness.\r\nCheck out this recipe, courtesy of Instagram user, Jen (@boise_beer_runner), grab some Macho Libre and get ready for a sold-out main event of dessert delectability.\r\n\r\nCupcakes:\r\n1\/2 c. unsalted butter\r\n2 c. sugar\r\n12 slices bacon finely chopped (save at least 2 tbsp bacon grease)\r\n2 tsp vanilla\r\n3 eggs\r\n3 c. flour\r\n1 tbsp baking soda\r\n1 tsp salt\r\n8oz Hop Valley Macho Libre beer (if you can't find Macho Libre, Alphadelic can be used as a substitute)\u00a0\r\nCream butter and sugar together. Add 1\/3 of your finely chopped bacon and 2 tbsp bacon grease. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine with dry ingredients. Add beer.\u00a0\r\nBake at 350 for 20 mins\r\n\r\nFrosting:\u00a0\r\n1 c. butter\u00a0\r\n4 c. powdered sugar\r\n2 tbsp maple syrup\r\n2 tbsp heavy whipping cream\r\nBeat butter and maple syrup. Gradually add in powdered sugar till you get stiff peaks. Frost cupcakes and top with remaining chopped bacon. Enjoy!
