HOP TO IT! FUNDRAISING AND PRIZES AT ANNUAL HOP-TO-HOP EVENT

Walk, run, jog or hop your way between Hop Valley’s locations this November and help raise much-needed funds for the Eugene/Springfield Chapter of the American Cancer Society! The top fundraisers will also have a chance to win some great Hop Valley prizes.

Register today by visiting www.hopvalleyhoptohop.org.

Originally scheduled for September, Mother Nature had other ideas with an unprecedented fire season in the Northwest that saw Eugene and Springfield blanketed in an unhealthy haze of smoke, forcing postponement of 2017’s Hop-to-Hop.

Now scheduled for Saturday, November 11th, the Hop-to-Hop 10k Walk/Run will start from Hop Valley’s location in the Gateway District of Springfield at 10am and will travel to Hop Valley’s Tasting Room in Eugene’s Whiteaker Neighborhood.

Celebrating its fourth consecutive year, Hop-to-Hop has raised thousands of dollars for the Eugene/Springfield Chapter of the American Cancer Society, along with raising awareness about reducing cancer risk and honoring cancer survivors. Last year’s event saw a record turnout of participants and more funds raised than ever.

“We couldn’t be happier at how Hop-to-Hop has turned into such a great event for the local community,” said Hop Valley co-founder Ron Howard. “Last year set a new mark as far as attendees and money raised and we’re hoping this year is even better.”

Along with the $30 registration fee going to the local American Cancer Society, the cost entitles each participant to receive a Hop Valley t-shirt, hat, decal and keychain, along with coupons for a pre- and post-race beverage. Shuttles will be provided to bring runners and walkers from Hop Valley’s Tasting Room back to the Springfield starting location.

To help inspire more contributions this year, Hop Valley is offering four prizes to those teams or individuals who raise the most money:

1) $500 Hop Valley gift card

2) Private Barrel Room rental at the Hop Valley Tasting Room with appetizers for 40 people

3) Pacific Pub Cycle gift certificate with $50 Hop Valley gift card

4) One case of Hop Valley beer each month for one year

“This event is all about raising awareness and contributing to the local American Cancer Society,” said Howard. “We’re hoping these great prizes will get even more folks helping out.”

Registration packets can be picked up on Wednesday, November 9th at Hop Valley’s Eugene location from 5-7pm, or on event day at Hop Valley’s Springfield location.

Hop to it this November and help out a great cause!
